Recent Graduate?

Here are some important next steps as a recent graduate.

  • All Programs:

    • Download a copy of your resume, cover letter and any documents or emails you want in the future. These materials are deleted after you complete the program.  

    • Want to continue in your field? Or try something new? Check out Nassau BOCES' Adult Education Programs
       

  • Program Specific Information:

    • Automotive/Construction Electricity/HVAC – You have received your OSHA certification and NCCER credentials. Be sure to keep your documents in a safe place to give to employers.   

    • Cosmetology – NEW RESOURCE - Check out this detailed step by step guide for how to register for your state board exam. Click here to register for your State board exam. Let us know when you receive your license. 

    • Medical Assisting – Your CHP provisional certification expires in two years.  You must upgrade your certification before it expires by following the steps provided on the Certified Health Professionals website

    • EMT – To receive your 6 college credits, download the transcript request form and give it to the college admissions office.  If you have not completed the EMT certification course you must complete within one year of graduation

Island Pump and Tank LLC - Field Service Technician - Apprentice

We are looking for the next generation to join our exciting, dynamic industry as petroleum service technicians. Daily work may include troubleshooting and repairing gas dispensers, POS systems, tank monitoring systems, fuel controllers, and other activities related to fueling facilities. Since gas stations are open 24/7, we run service 24/7 to accommodate our customers' needs. Overtime is always available, and sometimes required.
