About GC Tech
Dear Students,
At GC Tech, we prepare you for your future. We teach you the skills, knowledge and attributes to be successful in your field. We emphasize professional behaviors and career readiness practices that will serve you no matter what path you choose, and no matter how many times you change direction. Whether academically, with practical skills, or with how you are feeling mentally, this is a community designed for you to be successful.

- Professionalism: Be on time and in uniform. Demonstrate skills and behaviors of someone who is well-adjusted and successful in their career.
- Perseverance: To truly grow you will face challenges. We ask that you practice getting through difficult parts without giving up. Engage in a "growth mindset" - trust that you will improve with time and effort. Identify and ask for help when you need it. You may not be able to do something yet - but that does not mean that you cannot get better at it.
- Respect: Respect yourself, others, and the spaces where you are working. To meet our goals as a school community, we work to create a safe, supportive, professional environment.
- Teamwork: Ask for help when you need it and offer help to the people around you. You will develop the skill of working with people who might not be friends, but who are your coworkers.

Location
GC Tech is located on the East side of Levittown Memorial at 150 Abbey Lane, Levittown, NY 11756.
The entrance is via the side entrance of the building, through the east parking lot (closest to Ranch Lane). In general, students and visitors must enter through the side entrance. Wheelchair access to the Main Office and Floor 1 classes is through the main doors by the flagpole.
Student/Visitor parking is by permit only, along the east side of the parking lot (to your left as you enter the lot). Parent drop-off follows the bus route through the parking lot. Cars may not pass stopped school busses and must stop for pedestrians in the crosswalk. Cars must stop for buses that are loading/unloading. Cars may not enter the parking lot during dismissal times (9:20 a.m. - 9:40 a.m. & 1:20 p.m. - 1:40 p.m.)
Program Hours
Morning: 7:00 a.m. – 9:35 a.m.
Afternoon: 11:00 a.m. – 1:35 p.m.
*The cosmetology program has additional time built in for students to earn their state-mandated 1,000 hours for licensing.

Bring a Buddy
Are you a 9th or 10th grader who is considering attending GC Tech in the future? You can sign up to shadow a GC Tech Student in their class.
Permission from your guidance counselor, parent/guardian, and approval from GC Tech is required.
If you are interested in attending a "Buddy Day" please speak with Ms. Piarulli at 516-604-4258.
