About GC Tech
Dear Students,
At GC Tech, we prepare you for your future. We teach you the skills, knowledge and attributes to be successful in your field. We emphasize professional behaviors and career readiness practices that will serve you no matter what path you choose, and no matter how many times you change direction. Whether academically, with practical skills, or with how you are feeling mentally, this is a community designed for you to be successful.

- Professionalism: Be on time and in uniform. Demonstrate skills and behaviors of someone who is well-adjusted and successful in their career.
- Perseverance: To truly grow you will face challenges. We ask that you practice getting through difficult parts without giving up. Engage in a "growth mindset" - trust that you will improve with time and effort. Identify and ask for help when you need it. You may not be able to do something yet - but that does not mean that you cannot get better at it.
- Respect: Respect yourself, others, and the spaces where you are working. To meet our goals as a school community, we work to create a safe, supportive, professional environment.
- Teamwork: Ask for help when you need it and offer help to the people around you. You will develop the skill of working with people who might not be friends, but who are your coworkers.

Location
GC Tech is located on the East side of Levittown Memorial at 150 Abbey Lane, Levittown, NY 11756.
This is the entrance closest to Rance Lane through the parking lot. Students and visitors must enter through the side entrance. Entrance through the Levittown side is only permitted for wheelchair access to the Main Office and Floor 1 classes.
Student/Visitor parking is by permit only, along the east side of the parking lot (to your left as you enter the lot). Parent drop-off should follow the pathway indicated below. Cars must stop for buses that are loading/unloading. Cars may not enter the parking lot during dismissal times (9:20 a.m. - 9:40 a.m. & 1:20 p.m. - 1:40 p.m.)
Program Hours:
- AM: 7:00 a.m. – 9:35 a.m.
- PM: 11:00 a.m. – 1:35 p.m.
*The cosmetology program has additional time built in for students to earn their state-mandated 1,000 hours for licensing.

Bring a Buddy
GC Tech students have an opportunity to bring a buddy to attend our school for a day! Students must be in either 9th or 10th grade and must have permission from their home school guidance counselor, their parent or guardian, and approval from GC Tech. GC Tech students can share their career and technical education experiences with someone interested in attending GC Tech!
If you have someone interested in attending, please stop by the guidance office for more information.
Taste of Tech
Prospective students and their guidance counselor are invited to GC Tech for a hands-on learning experience. District guidance counselors, along with prospective students, take a field trip to GC Tech where they will have an opportunity to see the campus, learn more about GC Tech, and partake in a hands-on learning experience in a program of study that interests them.

Open House
Prospective students and their families are invited to attend GC Tech's Open House. The open house will be broken up into four 20-minute sessions. Prospective students and their families can attend up to three different programs that interest them along with a session facilitated by administration and student support staff.
During the open house, current GC Tech students will demonstrate some of the skills they have learned while attending our school. After the student demonstration, teachers will speak about their specific programs and address any follow-up questions. Those who attend will also have an opportunity to walk through our classrooms, shops, salons, and labs. We welcome your visit and look forward to sharing more information about our school with you!
