GC Tech EMT students Learn from Industry Professionals
EMT students at GC Tech participated in hands-on training with the Nassau County EMS Academy, where they learned how to safely use the Jaws of Life to extricate a patient from a simulated vehicle wreck. Students practiced operating the equipment, managing the scene, and maintaining clear communication throughout the process. The experience provided valuable real-world skills and strengthened their understanding of emergency response procedures.

This fall, 125 students from throughout Nassau County were named Students of the Quarter at Nassau BOCES Barry Tech and GC Tech career and technical education high schools. All were honored for their grades, attendance, work ethic and preparedness.
